Imazamox is an effective herbicide for thecontrol of both terrestrial and aquatic vegetation. Imazamox is a member of the imidazolinone class of herbicides. All of the imidazolinone herbicides share a common mechanism of herbicidalaction that involves the inhibition of acetolactate synthase, which is an enzyme found in plants and is required for the synthesis of essential amino acids important for plant growth.
