Duloxetine is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, it works by increasing the amounts of serotonin and norepinephrine, natural substances in the brain that help maintain mental balance and stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. It is manufactured and marketed by Eli Lilly under the Brand names Ariclaim, Xeristar, Yentreve, Duzela, Dulane and Cymbalta. It is mainly used to treat depression and generalized anxiety disorder.
