Description
GA01117
Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for treating pain, fever, and inflammation. The exact mechanism of action of ibuprofen is unknown. Ibuprofen is a nonselective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase, an enzyme involved in prostaglandin synthesis via the arachidonic acid pathway. Its pharmacological effects are believed to be due to inhibition of cyclooxygenase-2 which decreases the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in mediating inflammation, pain, fever, and swelling.
We have successfully synthesized impurities of the Ibuprofen. This will be of interest to pharmaceutical companies and analytical labs.
